The Fiji Beekeeping Association (FBA) has worked with several esteemed organizations to support and advance the beekeeping industry in Fiji. Through these partnerships, FBA has provided mentorship, financial assistance, and essential resources to beekeepers across the country.

 

Key Collaborations

  • International Trade Centre (ITC)

    Provided mentorship programs to develop skills and knowledge among beekeepers.

  • Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC)

    Supported beekeepers with subsidies for hive parts following Tropical Cyclone Winston.

  • New Zealand High Commission

    Assisted in Varroa mite management by supplying Apistan strips.

  • U.S. Embassy

    Contributed to beekeeping mentorship programs.

  • Pacific Islands Farmer Organisation Network (PIFON)

    Supported mentorship programs and subsidized queen bees to improve hive genetics.

  • Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR)

    Offered mentorship programs and subsidized high-quality F1 Australian-bred Queen bees under the Genetic Improvement Program, in collaboration with Southern Cross University.

  • Ministry of Agriculture (MOA)

    Provided financial support, grants for sugar feed, and budget consolidation to sustain beekeeping operations.

  • Biosecurity Authority of Fiji (BAF)

    Assisted with beehive movement declaration updates and participated as guest speakers in FBA-organized symposiums.
